Todd Duffy is a highly experienced bankruptcy attorney who has participated in many large and complex bankruptcy cases over more than twenty years. With a background rooted in large firm training and experience, Todd Duffy brings efficient yet sophisticated legal strategies to middle-market and small businesses. Individualized attention to client needs and accessibility are the hallmarks of his practice. Strategic thinking and practical application of the bankruptcy code help drive results-oriented representation for a diverse pool of clients. Over the course of his career, Todd has represented debtors, creditors (secured and unsecured), creditor committees, and ad hoc committees. He has served as a post-bankruptcy liquidation trustee and has represented foreign fund interests in the American courts. Finally, he has also represented individuals in Chapter 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcies.
In addition to his significant bankruptcy experience, Todd has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court litigation. He has litigated various non-bankruptcy issues in the federal courts throughout the country and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Todd attended St. John’s Law School, from which he obtained his law degree in two and a half years. Immediately following graduation, he clerked for Chief Judge Stephen D. Gerling in the Northern District of New York Bankruptcy Court. After his clerkship, Todd was associated with several large Manhattan firms before going on to become the Chair of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group and a Shareholder at Anderson Kill & Olick P.C. He is also a past Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association, a former editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Journal, and a current member of the Federal Bar Council Inn of Court.
